PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU CAN STICK TO A SUBMISSION SCHEDULE OF 10 PAGES PER TWO MONTHS BEFORE YOU JOIN! (especially if you really want to try out being a mangaka, the first thing you need to do is to stick to your schedule). If you are always busy, please consider submitting as a guest instead of joining us. (which means, credits will be given to your work but you are not part of our mangaka group. Your manga will be featured when we have less manga in certain issues.)

EDIT3: Due to management difficulties, I just have to add in RULES (yes, rules, even if you hate them). So read through these and make SURE you are able to allocate your time before you join =)

1. STICK TO SUBMISSIONS. I know I have to repeat this a million times before everyone stops skipping every issue... 10 pages every two months is not that many... if you cannot submit this much, gather your work and submit occasionally as one-shots. You don't necessarily need to join us to have your work featured in our issues =D

2. VISIT THE FORUM!!!!!! Stay ACTIVE! By staying active it does not mean you have to post a lot, but visit the forum often since it will be the first location where announcements and news are posted. So make sure you come and read them =D

3. Try to finish a manga... I know this is hard... because it is easy to lose motivation or change your story when some new idea comes up. However, I am sure you would like to see a finished project instead of lots of few-pages unfinished work. So try to stick to one project and finish it before you start a new one (for this, I don't mean absolutely no new series if you don't finish your current one. I just don't want a lot of dropped projects. Many of us would like to see how your story goes and will feel disappointed if you suddenly stop it)

4. AND, use an e-mail that you will use OFTEN! There are many times when I send you an e-mail and you never reply. If you are using a new e-mail, INFORM US so that we can have your information UPDATED.

For now, that's it. Follow the rules and enjoy the experience of being a (non-professional) mangaka =D

-----------------------------------------------------

Thank you for your interest in joining the DREAM group! (If you are here, that means you are interested, right? :P ) Please open a new thread for every application for easy management. Thanks!

Include the following in your post:
Name/Pen Name (will be used as your mangaka name)
E-mail (for contacts)
Manga Title
Description (a few sentences or paragraphs about your manga)
Manga Sample (link to one or two pages of manga, no character sketches please. It can be the manga you are submitting or any manga-style work you have <- just to see how you draw)

If you would like to know what is required from you after you are accepted, please have a look at our SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

If you have any questions, please post in this thread =)

EDIT: Applications only apply to MANGA SERIES submissions. If you only want to submit one-shots, you can e-mail your submissions to me (Ki.Hiwatari@gmail.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false) at any time, together with your NAME and CONTACT E-MAIL and your one-shot will be included in our issues when there is space.

EDIT2: You only have to apply for ONCE. After you are accepted you can submit as many series as you want without the need of opening a new thread for every series.

-Ki :jealous:

Due to the large number of people we have at present, application is temporary closed at the moment. Our greatest apologies to anyone who has decided to join us but have not done so >.<

However, although we are not accepting new mangakas, it does not mean that we are not accepting submissions. There are open slots for one-shots (around 10-40 pages) for people who wish to have their work shown in our issues but not joining. Proper credits will be given to all submissions if they are approved.

If you want to submit one-shots, please open a thread in this section and fill in the joining form, but please indicate that you are submitting a one-shot only.

Applications may reopen if anyone for our group is leaving, or when someone wants to rest for some time (like a year or so =P). Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Please do still join our forum even if you are not a mangaka. We will continue to bring to you manga issues every month =D

-DREAM.

Till now we have no volunteered one-shot submissions... and even so we can split them up for several issues =D

Just wanna say... I guess we are open again =D (because it seems the even group is small, and we can 'afford' more mangakas skipping issues XD)

Hello,

I was wondering if you're still accepting applications for long series, and also, what is the level of commitment you're looking for?

I can pump out a chapter (30-40 pg) about once every couple of months >.<

Yes, we are still looking for long series as well as one-shots, short series applications.

Commitment will be a minimum of 10 manga pages plus cover every two months. There is no upper limit at present (since I don't think anyone would submit a lot of pages).

For more information on manga submission you can visit our guidelines thread:

PS. Welcome to the forum~!

Hi guys,

Nothing to submit as of yet as I need to check some things with you before I even begin with it.

I take it that your magazine takes a left to right format (western style) and that all mangas submited must adhere to this?

Secondly

You've described this as a shounen somewhere on this site. Hopefully meaning your target audience for this are older teenagers, and in light of that do you accept manga that deal in slightly dark issues and contain some bad language (swearing)?

Would appreciate the answers to these so I can know whether my manga will be suitable for you guys, but am very interested in joining this.
