I was thinking that we should get something running (on our DA group), and Muffin suggested that we hold a mascot contest. I am not sure how many people will approve of this idea. So now this thread is open for feedback and suggestions.

If we are to hold this contest, here are some points I think we should think about...
1. What will the mascot be? Should it be a person, a cat, a dog or some randomness?
2. What will we use the mascot for? For the site layout, or just for the sake of having one? (I am too lazy to rewrite the whole website code... because it is php... come back, Kitkat =_=...)
3. What are the prizes for the contest? (or there will be no prize XD)

1. I think it could be 2 things, like a cat and a person.But I'll go with what ever. :3

2. Layouts and some times at the end of the magazine? I want to say cover of the magazine but some of the other mangakas haven't had there work up on the cover yet.

3. I can cosplay as any character from dream in any out fit (As long as it doesn't show my arms that much. >.<;; ) And I'll throw in a copy of the printed issue of Dream when it's out?......Or a commission from witch ever Dream mangka they what?

i go for a tapir.

it was said in japanese mythology that tapirs are dream eaters. they eat bad dreams and give you good ones.

i remember osamu tezuka and pokemon using these animals also to refer dreams (hypno i think and blue blink episode something)

it would be a great mascot since it represents our dreams.

It's a good idea but tapirs look so ugly. D: If you can make it look cute maybe there's will be some snow ball chance in heck I'd like you .

I like this idea! maybe have it have a human and animal form (that way there are two forms to work with in case the other isnt working out)
But Im still not quite sure what animal actually embodies our whole image (but Im sure holding a contest someone will think of something X3)

I think a hybrid of animal and human. It would be cuter! I remember I use to work for another manga magazine and they had two mascots. One that appeals to girls and the other appeals to boys. The one that appeals to girls was a bishie and the one that appeals to boys was a loli.

I would totally love to do the html. I'm no longer taking hard crappy classes, so I have free time to go nuts.

2.i feel like the mascot must belated with the name "dream"....so maybe we could draw a mascot with some a moon,and dream fairy...just a silly suggestion...:p

and i think we should put a cute one~~~

I think having a boy and girl is good, and the clothing design be related to dream (but must not necessarily be tapirs as JayHaru said =P)

If we can get finalized on what to draw, I will try getting some requirements up ^_^
